Face.DJ allows to create an accurate 3D model of the face in 2 seconds using only a single photo, made by the camera of mobile device. User can put his 3D model at the body of the robot and upload it from the application straight to social networks – Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
How does it look technologically?
Face.DJ produces a 3D selfie in three steps:
1. It employs face landmark detector to find prominent facial parts such as eyes, lips and nose at the photo.
2. Then it customizes a 3D model of the face, tailoring it to the individual facial shape of the person. This is done by using a deformable model of human face.
3. Finally, it maps the texture from the photo onto the 3D model.
